Keeping things fresh

If you're anything like me; you love the change of the seasons! They can be the perfect excuse to change things up a little in your surroundings, your routine and your everyday life. I am using the transition from Summer to Autumn to launch a new, fresh, streamlined website presence!

Being open to new suggestions (always!), I've had some positive feedback about the new look and the ease of use. Unfortunately for me, however...all the blog entries from the previous set-up didn't transfer over, so I have to start the Blog fresh, too!

It's all-good though. Onward and Upward!

I look forward to sharing my thoughts (some call them "ramblings". *blush* You decide), highlights from sessions, photos from personal projects, information about new products & processes, etc. in the upcoming months.

Autumn is my favorite time of the year here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Summer tourists go back to the "real world" and we locals enjoy the lower humidity and crisp clean air outdoors more.

Pumpkin patches pop up everywhere (and so do the on-location Family Portrait session opportunities) and the trees practically explode with the colors of the season!

Question of the Week: Do you do seasonal mini-sessions?

In years past; I have left mini-sessions to the local photographers who take photos and sell the lot on discs or usb drives. I prefer to hold my client's hand through a process that gives them a LOT more from the experience.

To that end; I definitely DO hold sessions in the outdoors with Nature's Autumnal beauty as the backdrop. I live in a picturesque, country setting that offers views of harvested fields and woods and a dirt country lane. For those who prefer indoor sessions using scenic backdrops, I am constantly building my backdrop collection and can also bring the "studio to you" in some instances. These sessions can be set up using props or more candid and spontaneous, just taking a walk in the woods or at the park.

Lasting approximately 1 hour; I don't consider them "mini" at all.

After the session, we meet to view your images together and choose your favorites to display as wall art in a gallery or as one statement art piece (but I offer SO many other print sizes and products to ensure you get exactly what you wanted).

And when your portraits come in... it feels like Christmas came early! Because I am eager to see your reaction as you unbox everything... I hand-deliver your order.

So...the short answer is "No, I don't do "mini-sessions". I provide a full-service portrait experience in ANY season or setting. Exemplary Custom(er) Experience & Service is at the heart of everything I do.
